The amazing bean

I am just fascinated with my beans this year, they grow about 4 inches a day. Amazing
They are so picture perfect...

Climbing and twisting...

And blooming oh my.
So this morning out my kitchen window, Mr. Rat was in the bird feeder tray having a feast. Ugh

My carnival squash is getting bigger!
My Dahlias are coming back.

Finally I see the lemon cucumbers, there are three on the plant now. I haven't had luck in the past with the green Garden Cucumbers so this year we will see how we do with lemon cuc's

Abby was out with me in the garden today... I'm hoping if she is out there with me enough Mr. Rat will get the hint.

More new squash!

My first Roma's to make it to a meal...

Get a few Roma's

Chop them up and put them with pasta with a bit of Parmesan cheese and we have a happy meal!

Life is good.

The view out my kitchen window

The birds are very well fed. It's very peaceful to watch while sipping my tea.

Things are finally starting to take off...

So are mellons are taking off, and I fear there will be a lot of them. Need to find out all the things you can do with cantaloupe and honey dew.

My beans just fasinate me this year, it is amazing how perfect they are and how fast they grow.

Looks like we will have Roma's soon.

It's finally getting hot enough for the garden to grow.

Three Apples is all i'm gettin'

So here are the three, yes three apples I'm getting on my apple tree this year. Ugh. Last year I canned just short of 2 dozen pint jars of apple sauce and this year, three apples. Again I say "UGH".

I must consult an apple expert to find out why my tree just produces every other year. Hurumph.

My Honeydew was happily climbing on the trellis

Lots of flowers oh my... we are goining to have a lot of mellon.

The beans were very happy to have a pole to climb, wrapping around the pole heading for the sun

Much happiness in the garden today...

My garden is coming right along...

My garden has had a slow start this year, it's been on the cold side, but we are starting to have some hot days and things are coming alive.

The tomatoes ar
e starting to get some size.

The cantaloupe is just starting to reach for the trellis... The honeydew has been reaching for a couple of weeks

The squash is finally starting to bloom... All is well in the garden

Things are moving along...

So I got my seeds going

My bird feeder filled
Some Roma tomatoes planted for canning

And I planted the first of my herbs

I have been a failure with the herbs in the past. I'm really not sure when to cut them and I seem to let them flower, which I think is not a good thing... Must do research.

So Now What

What to do now.... Hurrmph. It too early to start the garden so maybe a touch of color.

To get a bit of color in the yard I put pots on each of my raised beds and filled them with pancy's and snapdragons. I put lantana in the three pots in the corner, purple in the green & black pots & yellow in the red pot in the back.
Something to see from the kitchen window...

My Neglected Garden... Oh My

So we were going to redo my garden but we had decide to put it off or not do it, not really sure of the future of my garden.

So what happens, the garden got completely out of control!

So after a few days of back breaking work the garden it on it's way back...

And few more days.... The garden start looking a bit better

The blue tarp is full of gorilla grass so I spread it out on three of the beds but the stuffs got to go!
